Formula For Success - Five Rules to Achieve Your Goals
The course of action to achieve any goal is the same for every goal. This may sound confusing but there is a formula to achieve goals and reach objectives. The following formula can take the form of an outline or be a list of highlighted or bulleted topics like the ones below.
A: Choose a goal:
To achieve a goal you must first have a goal. Many people think goals are "I wanna’s". I wanna new car. I wanna go on a nice vacation. I wanna make a lot of money. These are all nice things to have but throw your likes and wanna’s out the door. Pick something that you absolutely must have this year no matter what it takes.
B: Identify Main Reason:
Once you have chosen your goal, identify several very big reasons for why you must have this goal. For instance what will you be able to do after you achieve this goal that you cannot do now? A goal to buy a car because you cannot get to work without it is quite a big reason. After you reach this goal you will be able to get to work. It is important to make sure your reasons are big and persuasive.
C: Write it Down:
Write down what you want. Once a goal is committed to paper it becomes real and not just some idea floating around in your head. Mental notes do not stay in your brain. The human brain has about thirty-seven seconds to recall an idea before it begins to lose its shape. This is another important reason to write it down right away.
